Championship Course
Ferncroft CC is a golfer's delight. Our Robert Trent Jones, Sr. championship course has hosted scores of top area tournaments, USGA events, and was the home of the LPGA's Boston Five Classic from 1980-1990. A good test for even the most accomplished golfers, it has the charm and integrity to make it a course you'll love to play week in and week out. The yardage from the back tees is 6,612 and par is 72 for men and 73 for ladies. Our members enjoy the game on an extraordinary golf course in excellent conditions. With the most water of any area club and few houses lining the fairways, Ferncroft is an escape to the country in the most convenient location of any area club - only nineteen miles from downtown Boston!
The 18 hole championship course has received numerous accolades. Most recently, North Shore Golf called Ferncroft's 18th hole "stunning" and named it the second best finishing hole in the area, and North Shore Magazine also recognized Ferncroft's 543-yard par 5 number 18 as one of the best holes on the North Shore. Robert Trent Jones considered this to be one of the best finishing holes he ever created.
